A Queensland school bus driver has revealed that some students are having sex and smoking marijuana while being taken to and from school.
Ipswich bus driver, Graham King, spoke out after a public transport pressure group raised concerns regarding the behaviour of Queensland school children on buses.
He said he had found used contraceptives and cannabis joints after ending his school runs.
Other drivers had also reported incidents of students engaging in sexual acts while on the bus.
Mr King, who has driven buses in the region for more than 40 years, claims that such behaviour is dangerous and distracting for the driver.
"You are constantly looking in the mirror to see what the students are doing, and not looking at the cars in front of you," he said.
"The drivers have to have 100 pairs of eyes just to get the kids home safely."
Mr King made headlines in 2009 when he lost patience with a bus load of students and dropped the unruly teens off at the local police station.
He said that other disorderly behaviour, such as students throwing food and objects from windows, flighting and burning holes in seats, was still commonplace.
